Shahid Afridi: “Abrar Ahmed to come in for Shadab Khan”

Iconic Pakistan six-hitter Shahid Afridi wants mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed to take Shadab Khan’s spot in the team.
Shadab has not taken any wickets since Pakistan’s five-match T20I series against New Zealand in April 2024.
The 25-year-old went wicketless in four games during the 2024 T20 World Cup and didn’t even bowl in Pakistan’s matches against India and Canada.
Since the Mianwali native is failing to have an impact with the ball, Afridi feels it might be time for Pakistan to switch things up and give Abrar a go.
“Abrar Ahmed to come in for Shadab Khan,” he wrote in his ICC column as quoted by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before fighting back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Despite ending the group stage with a 2-2 record, it was not enough to see them through to the Super Eights.
