Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has claimed that international players don’t want to play with limited overs captain Babar Azam in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Azam captains the Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL and in the 2024 edition of the tournament, he led them to the playoffs.
However, Shehzad pointed out that foreign cricketers said the 29-year-old puts unnecessary pressure on the batting line-up, which ends up affecting their performances.
“International players don’t want to play PSL with Babar Azam. They say Babar creates pressure on the batting line-up which affects our performances,” the 32-year-old was quoted as saying by journalist Arfa Feroz Zake on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Azam recently captained Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and made 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
The men in green lost to the United States of America and India before rebounding to defeat Canada and Ireland.
Despite claiming those two wins, they ended up being eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.

Ahmed was a good player but he let himself down due to his attitude and disciplinary issues. In Fact he was neither sincere with himself nor the team.
He is lost now that is why always make false accusations and blames people. He had his time but now he is totally lost.
