Ahmed Shehzad: “I feel I could’ve done better than those stats. But your (Babar’s) stats are worse than mine… You’ve faced 205 balls in powerplays in T20 World Cups, but you haven’t managed to hit one six”

Pakistan batsman Ahmed Shehzad has blasted white-ball captain Babar Azam, saying he has not been able to hit even one six in the powerplay of a T20 World Cup.
Shehzad noted that Azam’s statistics are worse than his and is confident he could do much better than the 29-year-old.
His comments come after Azam led the men in green in the 2024 T20 World Cup and finished as the team’s highest run-scorer with 122 runs in four matches at an average of 40.66 and a strike-rate of 101.66.
“I feel I could’ve done better than those stats. But your (Babar’s) stats are worse than mine… You’ve faced 205 balls in powerplays in T20 World Cups, but you haven’t managed to hit one six,” Shehzad was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan lost to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before fighting back to take down Canada and Ireland.
Despite winning those two games, Pakistan were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
