Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf is confident he “can [get] 200-300 wickets”, but made it clear that he has no goals.

Rauf surpassed 100 T20I wickets during the 2024 T20 World Cup, where he claimed seven wickets in four matches at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.

The 30-year-old, who can bowl at speeds over 150 kph, noted that while he has no specific targets in mind, his greatest satisfaction comes from taking wickets for his country and leading the team to victory.

“I don’t have any goals. I can [get] 200-300 wickets, but I don’t think there is anything bigger than taking even one wicket for Pakistan,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Rauf and the rest of the team began their T20 World Cup campaign with a shock loss to the United States of America before losing a low-scoring thriller against India.

Despite fighting back to claim wins over Canada and Ireland, which gave them a 2-2 record in the group stage, the men in green failed to advance to the Super Eights.
