Salman Butt: “It is not a surprise that he conceded so many runs because he doesn’t look at his field and bowl accordingly”

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt said he is not surprised Haris Rauf leaks a lot of runs, stating that the express bowler “doesn’t look at his field and bowl accordingly”.
Rauf has been criticised for giving away too many runs in the past, even though he does get wickets.
The 30-year-old was one of Pakistan’s best bowlers in the 2024 T20 World Cup, claiming seven wickets in four matches at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.
Despite this, Salman noted that Rauf needs to work on ensuring he doesn’t concede so many runs as it will make it harder for the men in green to chase down scores or defend a total.
“It is not a surprise that he conceded so many runs because he doesn’t look at his field and bowl accordingly,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan suffered back-to-back losses to the United States of America and India in the T20 World Cup before fighting back to take down Canada and Ireland.
However, their triumphs went in vain as they were eliminated in the group stage of the tournament.
