Former India cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar: “It hurts me to see this because when I played against Pakistan they were world champions, they have hit rock bottom now. I really lost respect for Pakistan”

Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar admitted he has “lost respect for Pakistan” following their abysmal performance in the 2024 T20 World Cup.
The men in green lost to the United States of America and India before defeating Canada and Ireland.
Those two wins went in vain, however, as they were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.
Manjrekar admitted that the team has “hit rock bottom” and lambasted them for being overconfident and thinking that a score of 159 would be enough for a comfortable win in their clash against the United States of America.
“It hurts me to see this because when I played against Pakistan they were world champions, they have hit rock bottom now. I really lost respect for Pakistan,” he told Star Sports as quoted by NDTV.
