Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt has launched a scathing attack against 150 kph fast bowler Haris Rauf, saying he never learns anything.
Salman noted that Rauf leaks many runs since he doesn’t bowl according to the field he has set.
The 30-year-old has been criticised for being too expensive in the past, but he did well in the 2024 T20 World Cup, taking seven wickets in four games at an average of 14.42 and an economy rate of 6.73.
Nonetheless, Salman feels Rauf still has a lot of improvements to make in order to consistently reduce the number of runs he concedes off his bowling.
“You never learn anything,” he said on the Cricket Baithak podcast as quoted by NDTV.
Pakistan lost their first two T20 World Cup matches against the United States of America and India before claiming back-to-back wins over Canada and Ireland.
Despite this, their campaign came to an end in the group stage of the tournament.
