Ian Bishop: “I will say that they should include players like Saim Ayub in the team”

Former West Indies fast bowler Ian Bishop has advised Pakistan to keep including opening batsman Saim Ayub in the team.
Ayub has failed to impress at the international level despite being given numerous chances to show what he can do in T20Is.
The 22-year-old has yet to make a half-century for the men in green and has amassed 309 runs in 23 T20Is at an average of 14.71 and a strike-rate of 122.13.
In the 2024 T20 World Cup, he was unable to have an impact with the bat, scoring 23 runs in two games at an average of 11.50 and a strike-rate of 79.31.
Despite his struggles, Bishop wants to see Pakistan keep backing the big-hitting youngster.
“I will say that they should include players like Saim Ayub in the team,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan lost their first two T20 World Cup matches against the United States of America and India before bouncing back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Even though they won their last two games, it was not enough to earn them a spot in the Super Eights and they were knocked out of the tournament.

Media compain has been started to save the friends and parchi In team . No one talk about the inclusion of Shadab in all matches and his performance. Nor talked about Abrar Ahmad. Also Azhar Mahmood still defend the final XI selection, which shows that all the team management including Skipper is trying to hide the bad performers with rifts in team. No one asked him why middle order batter Ifthikar was wasted and sent after Imad and Shadab?
Haris performance at initial and death overs costs pak but all still silent to save him . Pak is only team in world who basic strategy is to retain big names in team without any much winning performance. On the other hand the team which only perform against minows and useless matches and want to Regaining the form of their players only . So it’s time to send back Shadab, Haris Rauf , Azam khan , Abbas afridi and Shaheen Afridi for domestic only . And their inclusion should be linked with continuous domestic performance. And new and energetic domestic performers should be given same nos of chances .
SA dropped Shamsi being expensive , but we Continously depending on such kinds of players .
