Pakistan left-arm spinner Imad Wasim said “who is better than me” when asked who would be his first pick as an all-rounder.
Imad sees himself as the best all-rounder in the world since he regularly bowls in the powerplay, which is something he feels is very difficult for bowlers.
Additionally, the 35-year-old pointed out that he is a very versatile batsman as he can bat anywhere from number four to eight.
“Imad Wasim. Who is better than me? I usually bowl in the powerplay, which makes it even more tougher for me. None of the all-rounders, I think, bowl in the powerplays consistently. They do bowl, but [not] consistently, and I can bat from four to eight. So yeah, I think myself,” he told the ICC.
Imad recently represented Pakistan in the 2024 T20 World Cup and took three wickets in three games at an average of 14.66 and an economy rate of four.
As for his batting, he made 19 runs at an average of 9.50 and a strike-rate of 65.51.
The men in green lost their first two T20 World Cup matches against the United States of America and India before fighting back to beat Canada and Ireland.
Despite this, they were eliminated in the group stage of the competition.

So astonished, he is good alrounder? Can’t able to chase nor able to hit boundary against India , also due to his poor performance , he axed on pak team ??
I believe Imad is experiencing extreme euphoria, self-centeredness, and self-love. While he might be a good player in the PSL, he is not a good fit for international cricket. Since Muhammad Amir’s return, Imad Wasim has also rejoined the team by criticizing Babar and the team, but after the loss against India, Imad himself couldn’t handle the criticism. This proves that saying and doing are two different things.
Ahmed Shahzad is attempting the same approach to rejoin the team, and he too may lead to significant failures as Imad and Amir did. We understand that cricket is a team effort, but since these players claim to be the best, the question remains: when will they actually perform? In the PSL, in the domestic seasons, or in county cricket?

Imad Waseem is very average player and has been problematic all over in his career. He is overconfident and you rightly pointed out that he is self centered so has to be out from the team.
