Former India captain MS Dhoni: “You should go to Pakistan once for the food”

India World Cup winning captain MS Dhoni has said that people should “go to Pakistan once for the food”.

His comments come ahead of India and Pakistan’s clash in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will take place on June 9 in New York.

Additionally, his remarks are also relevant in regards to the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy as the tournament is scheduled to be held in Pakistan, but India have already expressed their hesitancy in playing there.

While it remains to be seen what happens, Dhoni admitted that the food in Pakistan is outstanding.

“You should go to Pakistan once for the food,” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The Pakistan team recently drew 2-2 with New Zealand in a five-match T20I series before taking down Ireland 2-1 in a three-match T20I series.

They then faced England in four T20Is, but lost 2-0.

The men in green’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
