Usman Khan: “I have come into the Pakistan team on the back of performances, so I don’t think about the past. I am grateful that I am getting an opportunity to play for Pakistan. I have no regrets on my decision”

Pakistan batsman Usman Khan has made it clear that he has “no regrets” about switching allegiance from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Pakistan.
He noted that he doesn’t think about the past and is now focused on making the most of the opportunities that are coming his way.
Usman shot to prominence during the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he finished as the second-highest run-scorer with 430 runs in seven matches for the Multan Sultans, which included two centuries and two fifties, at an average of 107.50 and a strike-rate of 164.12.
He proceeded to make his international debut in the five-match T20I series against New Zealand and scored 59 runs at an average of 14.75 and a strike-rate of 122.91.
However, he didn’t feature in the three-match T20I series against Ireland, which the men in green won 2-1.
“I have come into the Pakistan team on the back of performances, so I don’t think about the past. I am grateful that I am getting an opportunity to play for Pakistan. I have no regrets on my decision,” Usman was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Next up for Pakistan will be four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.
Following this, they will be in action in the 2024 T20 World Cup, which will be held in the West Indies and United States of America from June 1 to 29.
Pakistan’s first T20 World Cup game will be against the United States of America in Dallas on June 6.
