Usman Shinwari, the left-arm seamer, believes Pakistan captain Babar Azam is “extremely dangerous” in Test cricket and ODIs.

Azam has fared well in both formats, with his Test average currently at 45.85, while his batting average in ODIs is 56.72.

Given how regularly he makes big scores in both formats, Shinwari admitted it shows how good the 29-year-old is and his ability to excel in all conditions.

“I think that Babar is extremely dangerous in ODIs and Tests,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

Azam recently captained Pakistan in their five-match T20I series against New Zealand and accumulated 125 runs in five games, which included a top score of 69, at an average of 31.25 and a strike-rate of 138.88.

He is now in action in the three-match T20I series against Ireland and scored 57 and 0 in the first two games. The series is currently tied at 1-1 going into the third game on May 14.

After the Ireland series, Pakistan will play four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.
