Mohsin Khan: “So much hue and cry over bringing back Imad and Amir and they must get maximum matches to overcome their rustiness in international cricket”

Former Pakistan batsman Mohsin Khan believes left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir and spinner Imad Wasim cannot afford to be rested as they need as much game time as possible ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup in June.
Amir and Imad both reversed their decisions to retire from international cricket after the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where they played for the Quetta Gladiators and Islamabad United respectively.
They returned during the five-match T20I series against New Zealand in April 2024, where Amir took three wickets in four games at an average of 28.66 and an economy rate of 8.32.
As for Imad, he claimed one wicket in two matches at an average of 37 and an economy rate of 7.40.
Mohsin admitted that given how much effort was made to convince the duo to make their comebacks, Pakistan should be picking them in every match so that they are firing on all cylinders by the time the T20 World Cup comes around.
“So much hue and cry over bringing back Imad and Amir and they must get maximum matches to overcome their rustiness in international cricket,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan’s next assignment will be a three-match T20I series against Ireland from May 10 to 14.
After that, they will play four T20Is against England from May 22 to May 30.
