Pakistan pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi said Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan “are two of the best T20 bowlers in the world.”
Rauf and Zaman are two of the quickest bowlers in Pakistan and are renowned for their ability to bowl unplayable yorkers.
Afridi captained both players while leading the Lahore Qalandars in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), meaning he knows firsthand how lethal they can be.
“We have Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan who are two of the best T20 bowlers in the world,” he was quoted as saying by The Nation.
In PSL 9, Rauf took two wickets in four matches at an average of 66 and an economy rate of 9.42.
His campaign came to a premature end after he suffered a dislocated shoulder.
As for Zaman, he picked up 11 wickets in nine games at an average of 28.72 and an economy rate of 9.87.
Afridi, meanwhile, finished with 14 wickets in nine matches at an average of 22.14 and an economy rate of 8.61.
The Qalandars failed to impress in PSL 9 as they only won one out of the 10 games they played.
Rauf didn’t feature in Pakistan’s recent five-match T20I series against New Zealand, while Zaman played a solitary game and took one wicket at an average of 35 and an economy rate of 11.66.
As for Afridi, he ended up taking eight wickets in four matches at an average of 10 and an economy rate of 7.38.
The series ended up finishing as a 2-2 draw.
