Former Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Ramiz Raja conceded it is “frustrating to watch Mohammad Haris bat.”
Delving deeper into why he feels this way, Ramiz noted that the 22-year-old tries to play too many ramp shots and hasn’t worked on his drives enough.
On top of that, the former Pakistan captain questioned why the Peshawar native is incapable of playing “each delivery on merit.”
“It’s very frustrating to watch Mohammad Haris bat. Why does he try [the] ramp shot so much? Why can’t he work on his drives? Why can’t he play each delivery on [its] merit?” he was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Haris recently represented the Peshawar Zalmi in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), but failed to impress as he amassed 142 runs in 10 matches at an average of 15.77 and a strike-rate of 132.71.
The Zalmi managed to progress to the playoffs, but were beaten by the Multan Sultans in the Qualifier and Islamabad United in Eliminator 2.
