Former chief selector Mohammad Wasim has called power-hitter Iftikhar Ahmed “the best finisher in Pakistan” and believes he “has no weakness.”
His comments come after Iftikhar showcased his brute strength and immense firepower while playing for the Multan Sultans in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The 33-year-old amassed 259 runs in 12 matches, which included a top score of 60 not out, at an average of 64.75 and a strike-rate of 193.28.
“Iftikhar Ahmed is the best finisher in Pakistan. He has no weakness,” Wasim was quoted as saying by journalist Farid Khan on X, formerly known as Twitter.
The Sultans managed to make it to their fourth consecutive PSL final, but failed to get over the finish line as they lost to Islamabad United by two wickets.
