Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed believes left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir has “made a big difference” for the Quetta Gladiators as he has been “bowling really well.”
Sarfaraz noted that Amir possesses plenty of T20 experience as he has featured in numerous leagues all over the world since retiring from international cricket in December 2020.
In the ongoing 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 31-year-old from Gujar Khan has taken eight wickets in eight matches at an average of 33.25 and an economy rate of 8.86.
“The inclusion of Mohammad Amir has made a big difference. He has been bowling really well and has a lot of experience of playing T20 cricket,” Sarfaraz was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
Sarfaraz, meanwhile, has scored 22 runs in six games at an average of 5.50 and a strike-rate of 75.86.
The Gladiators have made it through the playoffs and will face Islamabad United in Eliminator 1 on March 15.
