Pakistan rising star Khawaja Nafay has admitted that he gained a lot of popularity through social media, where he uploaded videos of his outstanding cricket shots.

Nafay has become one of the most talked about batting talents in the ongoing 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), where he is representing the Quetta Gladiators.

In the nine matches he has played, the 22-year-old has amassed 177 runs, which includes a top score of 60 not out, at an average of 25.28 and a strike-rate of 126.42.

“A friend suggested creating a social media account to upload my shots. I took permission from the coach, and then all the videos gained me popularity,” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.

The Gladiators managed to book their spot in the playoffs and will go up against Islamabad United in Eliminator 1 on March 15.
