Pakistan fast bowler Hasan Ali said the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL) was a perfect opportunity to prove himself and earn a recall in limited overs cricket.

Hasan recently featured in Pakistan’s three-match Test series against Australia, but last played ODI and T20I cricket in November 2023 and September 2022 respectively.

The 29-year-old played for the Karachi Kings in PSL 9 and even though the team failed to qualify for the playoffs, he did extremely well, taking 14 wickets in 10 matches at an average of 22.42 and an economy rate of 8.26.

With his name up amongst the top wicket-takers, Hasan is hoping he has done enough to convince the selectors to give him another chance in limited overs cricket, especially since the 2024 T20 World Cup will be held in June.

“As far as [the] PSL is concerned, I always consider it as an opportunity to prove myself. I am very satisfied with my performance,” he was quoted as saying by A Sports.
