Pakistan power-hitter Asif Ali has made it clear he does not hit 300 sixes every day, stating that “I don’t run on petrol.”
He noted that his previous comments about his training regimen was misinterpreted, even though he did practice “hitting sixes” at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Lahore.
Asif used to be Pakistan’s first-choice finisher in limited overs cricket, but is now out of favour with the national selectors as he last played international cricket in October 2023.
“I don’t run on petrol to hit 300 sixes daily. I used to practice hitting sixes during the camp in the NCA, but there was a mistake in my statement and also who wrote [it],” he was quoted as saying by Cricket Pakistan.
