Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Sarfaraz Ahmed believes Adil Naz is a “promising fast bowler” who could have a successful career.

Naz is currently part of the Quetta Gladiators’ squad in the 2024 Pakistan Super League (PSL), but has yet to play a game.

So far, the 21-year-old from Abbottabad has taken six wickets in three first-class matches at an average of 50.

He has also featured in 12 T20s and claimed 14 victims at an average of 25.28.

Despite not having played many matches so far, Sarfaraz, who was removed as the Gladiators’ captain prior to the start of PSL 9, sees something promising in Naz.

Sarfaraz has represented the Gladiators in four games so far and amassed 12 runs at an average of six and a strike-rate of 80.
