Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Mohammad said Shoaib Malik is capable of playing “big shots” and also understands the “art of strike rotation”.
Malik is part of Pakistan’s T20 World Cup team, but only came in as a replacement for Sohaib Maqsood, who was ruled out with a back injury.
The 39-year-old was in dominant form in the National T20 Cup as he amassed 225 runs in seven matches for Central Punjab, which included a top score of 85 not out, at an average of 75 and a strike-rate of 149.
“He can play the big shots while also knowing the art of strike rotation,” Shoaib told Cricket Pakistan.
Pakistan will kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against India on October 24 in Dubai.
