Iconic Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar expressed his delight at the fact that Haider Ali made the most of his opportunity upon being given the chance to make his international debut.

The 19-year-old starred in the third T20 International against England as he smashed a 33-ball 54, which included five boundaries and two sixes, to lead Pakistan to a five-run win.

Akhtar noted that in order for Pakistan to be successful in the future, exciting prospects like Haider need to be backed and given a chance to prove their worth.
