Pakistan spinner Yasir Shah has made it clear that he doesn’t get offended and instead takes it “positively” when people talk about his weight.
Yasir has been picked for Pakistan’s upcoming series against England and noted that he has been “training extra nowadays” since he wasn’t able to work on his fitness properly while in lockdown due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
“I take it positively. I always train a lot and put in my best effort. I am also training extra nowadays because when you’re under lockdown for 3 months then you can’t do running and training as normal. So now we’re giving it extra time,” Yasir was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Determined to regain his form after a rough patch, Yasir said that his googly and leg-breaks will be his two “weapons” during the England series.
Furthermore, he expressed his eagerness to score another Test hundred after scoring his maiden one during Pakistan’s tour of Australia last year.
Pakistan are scheduled to play three Tests and three T20 Internationals against England, with the first Test starting on August 5 and the T20 series beginning on August 28.
