Pakistan limited overs captain Babar Azam has boldly claimed that nobody was able to get him out during his gully cricket days.

It was because of this that Azam decided to become a batsman, the 25-year-old said during an Instagram live session with veteran all-rounder Shoaib Malik.

“I used to play Gully Cricket a lot and guess what, nobody could have got me out. From there, I decided to become a specialist batsman and here I am,” Azam was quoted as saying by Ary Sports.

Azam is now preparing for the upcoming series against England, where he is expected to play a crucial role with the bat during the Test series. After that, he will captain Pakistan in the T20 series.

Pakistan are scheduled to play three Tests and three T20 Internationals against England, with the first Test starting on August 5 and the T20 series beginning on August 28.
