Legendary Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf firmly believes that England pace bowler James Anderson will pose a major threat to the Pakistan team during the upcoming Test series.
Explaining why, Yousuf pointed to the fact that Anderson has nearly 600 Test wickets and will be “very tough to handle” if the “conditions favour him”.
While Yousuf sees Anderson as the biggest threat, he warned the Pakistan Test team that they will be up against many other talented bowlers, including Stuart Broad, Jofra Archer, Sam Curran and Chris Woakes.
“England have a very good bowling attack with the likes of [James] Anderson, [Stuart] Broad, [Jofra] Archer, Mark [Wood] and [Chris] Woakes,” Yousuf told Cricket Pakistan. “Anderson will be major threat as he has close to 600 Test wickets and if the conditions favour him, he will be very tough to handle.”
Pakistan are scheduled to play three Tests and three T20 Internationals against England, with the first Test starting on August 5 and the T20 series beginning on August 28.
