Being put in to bat first, India got off to a superb start as Rahul and Rohit amassed a 135-run partnership, during which both batsmen brought up their half-centuries, before Rohit was dismissed by Kesrick Williams for a 34-ball 71, which included six boundaries and five sixes.
Rishabh Pant fell without troubling the scorers.
However, Rahul and Kohli steadied things with a 95-run stand, during which Kohli raced past his fifty, before Rahul was caught behind off the bowling of Sheldon Cottrell for 91, which came off 56 balls and included nine boundaries and four sixes.
With Kohli going on to score a 29-ball 70, which included four boundaries and seven sixes, India finished on 240/3.

Chasing a mammoth target of 241 to win, the West Indies found themselves in trouble early on as Brandon King, Lendl Simmons and Nicholas Pooran were all dismissed in quick succession.
With the West Indies struggling at 17/3, Pollard and Shimron Hetmyer came to the rescue with a 74-run stand before Hetmyer was dismissed by Kuldeep Yadav for a 24-ball 41, which included a boundary and five sixes.
Jason Holder fell soon after, while Pollard went on to score a 39-ball 68, which included five boundaries and six sixes, before he was removed by Bhuvneshwar Kumar.
