Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has described Twenty20 captain Babar Azam as a “match-winning player”.
Azam was one of the few bright spots for Pakistan during their recently concluded three-match Twenty20 series against Australia as he scored 115 runs in three games, which included two fifties, at an average of 57.50 and a strike-rate of 138.55.
Hafeez admitted that he is highly impressed with Azam’s consistency and will “pray for him to get more success”.
“Babar is a match-winning player. His consistency makes him unbeatable. I pray for him to get more success,” he was quoted as saying by Ary Sports.
Azam will now look to maintain his red-hot form in the upcoming two-Test series against Australia, which will run from November 21 to December 3.
