Former Pakistan captain and wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif believes that opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq only plays for himself.
Imam featured in the third Twenty20 International against Australia in Perth, which the hosts won by 10 wickets, and scored 14 runs off 15 balls before being dismissed by Sean Abbott.
In addition to taking aim at Imam for being selfish, Latif also pointed out that the 23-year-old’s strike-rate tends to be low.
“Imam will play for himself and score his runs, but his strike-rate will be low,” Latif said in a YouTube video as quoted by cricketpakistan.com.pk.
