Pakistan head coach and chief selector Misbah-ul-Haq has named captain Babar Azam and batsman Iftikhar Ahmed as the two positives from the recently concluded Twenty20 series against Australia.
The series was Azam’s first as Twenty20 captain, but he led by example with the bat as he scored 115 runs in three games, which included two fifties, at an average of 57.50.
Iftikhar, meanwhile, accumulated 108 runs in three matches, which included a career-best knock of 62 not out, at an average of 108.
“The biggest positive in this series was Babar Azam’s form, also the way Iftikhar Ahmed played is the biggest plus for us,” Misbah was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
