Former Pakistan pace bowler Sarfraz Nawaz is thrilled that leg-spinner Usman Qadir has been included in the national team for the upcoming Twenty20 series against Australia.

Usman is the the son of legendary Pakistan leg-spinner Abdul Qadir, who sadly passed away in September.

Usman has played in Australia before, including in the Big Bash League (BBL) and Prime Minister’s XI.

Given his knowledge of the conditions in Australia, Sarfraz pointed out that the 26-year-old could come in handy during the three-match Twenty20 series, which will be held from November 3 to 8.

“He has good experience of playing cricket in Australia and good command of bowling [the] flipper and googly,” Sarfraz told Dawn.
