Ex-Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar claimed that he told seamer Muhammad Musa that he would be picked for the tour of Australia.
Musa, 19, was included in both the Twenty20 and Test squads for the upcoming series, which will consist of three Twenty20 Internationals from November 3 to 8, and two Tests from November 21 to December 3.
Musa has featured in seven first-class matches and taken 17 wickets at an average of 37.52. He has also played six List A and eight Twenty20 games, where he has taken seven wickets at an average of 45.14 and 12 wickets at an average of 22.75 respectively.
“I told Musa last week that he’ll be selected for the Australia tour. I’ve asked him to bowl with an aggressive attitude and announce his presence by bowling short deliveries even if he goes for runs,” he said on his YouTube channel as quoted by the Business Recorder.
