Pakistan batsman Umar Akmal feels he has not lived up to expectations as he has not given enough chances to make his presence felt.
Akmal has featured in 16 Tests, 121 ODIs and 82 Twenty20 Internationals, where he averages 35.82, 34.34 and 26.82 respectively.
The 29-year-old last played for Pakistan in March, but reiterated that he will only be able to prove his worth if he gets more opportunities to represent his country.
“I have not received enough chances. Now the new system is in place, my best wishes are with them [PCB]. I am hopeful they will now give me a chance. I will deliver my skill work for Pakistan,” he told cricketpakistan.com.pk.
