Former Pakistan captain Aamir Sohail has made it clear that he isn’t interested in becoming chief selector under the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) current set-up.
Sohail has been chief selector on two occasions, with the first being in 2001 and the second in 2014.
With the PCB currently looking for a successor to fill the role Inzamam-ul-Haq vacated at the end of July, Sohail’s name has been mentioned as one of the favourites.
However, he reiterated that he has no intentions of occupying the role for a third time.
“I would like to make my contribution but not with such a system,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “First, the PCB [needs to] put its house in order otherwise there is no need to join the board just to resign because of the dirty system.”
