Mickey Arthur’s tenure as Pakistan’s head coach is likely to be extended until the 2020 World Twenty20.
There has been a lot of speculation surrounding Arthur’s future as head coach after his contract expired after the World Cup, where Pakistan failed to qualify for the semi-finals.
While some reports state that Arthur will be sacked, cricketpakistan.com.pk has reported that Arthur will carry on coaching Pakistan until the World Twenty20, which will be held in Australia in October and November next year.
This comes after Arthur and batting coach Grant Flower arrived in Lahore on Sunday and will attend a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Cricket Committee meeting on August 2 to learn about their future.
