Pakistan left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi has been accused of flirting with multiple women by a Twitter user.
The user, named Feriha, shared a screenshot with an alleged private chat involving Afridi.
“#ShaheenAfridi is the next big fish. Why they always fail to deliver on the field? They are always busy flirting with girls. They use their status and power to lure girls and then play with their bodies. More stuff to be uploaded soon,” Feriha said on Twitter.
However, soon after uploading that cryptic tweet, it was deleted.
Afridi is the second Pakistan player to make headlines for all the wrong reasons as just days ago, opening batsman Imam-ul-Haq was accused of having affairs with and cheating on at least seven to eight women.
The controversy surrounding Afridi comes after he starred at the World Cup, where he took 16 wickets at a superb average of 14.62.
This included career-best figures of 6-35 off 9.1 overs in Pakistan’s 94-run win over Bangladesh in their World Cup clash at Lord’s.
The 19-year-old not only became the youngest bowler to take a five-wicket haul in a World Cup match, but he also registered the best figures by a Pakistan player in a World Cup game.
