Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Rashid Latif believes the banned duo of Sharjeel Khan and Khalid Latif should never be allowed to play for the national team again.

Both Sharjeel and Khalid were given five-year bans for their involvement in a spot-fixing scandal during the 2017 edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

However, Sharjeel will be allowed to return in August as two-and-a-half years of his ban was suspended.

With that in mind, Latif urged the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to not allow Sharjeel or Khalid to represent the country again.

“What is the need to bring them back? We have already set the trend earlier and can’t afford more,” Latif was quoted as saying by arysports.tv.
