Former Pakistan captain Intikhab Alam has questioned why pace bowler Mohammad Hasnain was in the World Cup squad if he didn’t play a single game.
Hasnain failed to make his World Cup debut, even though he was touted as a major talent by Pakistan.
However, while the 19-year-old has featured in five ODIs, where he took five wickets at an average of 60.60, he didn’t feature in any of the eight World Cup games Pakistan played.
“Young pacer Mohammad Hasnain was also snubbed throughout despite tall claims made by the team management about him,” Intikhab told Dawn.
