Legendary Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi firmly believes that left-arm seamer Shaheen Shah Afridi “will remain imperative for the success of the team”.
Shahid’s comments come after Shaheen finished with figures of 4-47 off his 10 overs in Pakistan’s three-wicket win over Afghanistan in the World Cup on Saturday.
Shaeen made history during the match as he broke the record for the best figures of a teenager in a World Cup match.
Afridi’s performance was, is and will remain imperative for the success of the team 😊. Well bowled @iShaheenAfridi & the bowling unit. It’s a good opportunity for batsmen who haven’t performed as well recently to regain their form this match #CWC19 #PAKVAFG #WeHaveWeWill

“Afridi’s performance was, is and will remain imperative for the success of the team. Well bowled Shaheen Shah Afridi and the bowling unit,” Shahid said on Twitter.
With Pakistan having defeated Afghanistan, they will now have to beat Bangladesh at Lord’s on Friday to have any chance of reaching the last four.
