Pakistan all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez has refused to divulge too much about what the national team discussed during their two days off, but said that the players “helped each other out”.
Hafeez’s comments come after Pakistan lost to arch-rivals India by 89 runs via the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method in their World Cup clash on Sunday.
India’s victory extended their unbeaten streak against Pakistan as they have now won all seven of their meetings against their arch-rivals in the World Cup.
To make matters worse, Pakistan have now only won one of the five World Cup games they have played.
The team were given two days off prior to their clash against South Africa at Lord’s on Sunday and Hafeez confirmed that the players “sat down and discussed matters”.
“In the last two days that we got off, we sat down and discussed matters between ourselves and helped each other out,” Hafeez was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
