Pakistan pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has revealed that bowling coach Azhar Mahmood has been helping him a lot during the national team’s World Cup campaign.
Afridi has yet to make his World Cup debut, but he admitted that he is picking up a lot of good advice and working on his game.
He is also making sure to stay ready as he his opportunity to play in a World Cup match could come at any time in the near future.
“I am also learning a lot here. It’s a big platform and big pressure. My previous series wasn’t good but I am working hard [in the] nets and bowling coach Ajju bhai (Azhar Mahmood) is helping me a lot here,” he was quoted as saying by The News International.
Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Australia in Taunton on Wednesday.
