Pakistan pace bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi has vowed to “give my best for the team” in every game he plays at the World Cup.
Afridi has yet to make his World Cup debut as Pakistan have opted to go with their senior bowlers rather than him and Mohammad Hasnain, who are both in the infancy stages of their international careers.
However, once he is given the chance to play in a World Cup match, Afridi vowed that he will give it his all and made his presence felt on the largest stage of them all.
“I want to leave an impact in this World Cup. If a chance is given to me, I will try to give my best for the team,” he was quoted as saying by The News International.
Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Australia in Taunton on Wednesday.
