Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan believes self belief is the key to the national team winning the World Cup.

Imran’s comments come after Pakistan defeated England by 14 runs in the World Cup clash in Nottingham on Monday.

Pakistan’s victory over England not only helped them bounce back from their seven-wicket loss to the West Indies, but it also snapped their 11-game losing streak in ODIs.

The men in green have not won the tournament since 1992, where Imran captained the team and led them to World Cup glory.

With Pakistan having secured a huge win over England, Imran feels that the national team are capable of going all the way and lifting the coveted trophy.

“Congratulations to the Pakistan cricket team for a great win and for coming back into form after a poor start in the warm up matches and the first World Cup match. You have the talent, all you need is the self belief that you can go all the way,” he said on Twitter.

Pakistan’s next World Cup match will be against Sri Lanka in Bristol on Friday.
