Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batsman Moin Khan has admitted that he was highly impressed with Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq and Fakhar Zaman’s performance in the ODI series against England.

Azam was the second-highest run-scorer in the series with 277 runs in five matches, which included a century and two fifties, at an average of 55.40.

Imam accumulated 234 runs in four games, which included a career-best knock of 151, at an average of 117.

As for Zaman, he amassed 200 runs in five matches, which included a hundred and a half-century, at an average of 40.

“It was great to see [the batsmen] score big runs,” Moin told Geo.tv. “Imam is one of the best players, Fakhar is in good form and Babar Azam is also scoring runs. It’s a good sign. It is true that the bowling wasn’t up to the mark but the moment our bowling clicks, we’ll be able to beat any side in the world.”

Pakistan will now play two World Cup warm-up games against Afghanistan and Bangladesh in Bristol and Cardiff on May 24 and 26 respectively.

They will then begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
