Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has insisted that he is not worried about spinner Imad Wasim’s fitness as he has passed his fitness test.

Imad has been struggling with a chronic knee issue, but was included in the World Cup squad after passing the mandatory yo-yo test.

However, Imad was given extra time to pass the fitness test as he was undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.

“Imad had an injury,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “He is a good player for our team combination so we gave him a little margin but he’s passed his tests previously.”

Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
