Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has vowed that the national team will do everything in their power to have a successful World Cup campaign.

Pakistan have only won the World Cup in 1992, but they will be looking to hoist the trophy later this year.

Sarfraz believes that an excellent group of players have been selected for the World Cup, where Pakistan will begin their campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.

“Our team is very good, the guys have all worked hard,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by PakPassion. “We have a balanced line-up and we’ll try to do well in the World Cup.

“We will try to forget what happened in the past, and we’ll try to perform beyond our capabilities.”
