Left-arm seamer Mohammad Amir seems to have accepted the fact that he wasn’t included in Pakistan’s World Cup squad.
Amir’s omission likely stems from the fact that he has been in dismal form in ODIs since the conclusion of the Champions Trophy in June 2017.
From then until now, the 27-year-old has taken five wickets in 14 matches at an average of 92.60.
However, there is a possibility he could still feature at the World Cup as the squad announced is just a provisional one.
Amir was picked for the upcoming five-match ODI series against England, which will run from May 8 to 19, and should he shine, there is a chance he could be drafted into the World Cup side.
Nonetheless, Amir has thrown his full support behind his teammates and is hoping Pakistan win the World Cup for the first time since 1992.

“Grateful for being picked to play against England,” he tweeted. “Going to give my 100 percent InshAllah and good luck to the team for [the 2019 World Cup]. May the [World Cup] trophy comes home InshAllah. Let’s support our team.”
Pakistan will begin their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
