Mickey Arthur has made it clear that he is eager to continue on in his current role as Pakistan head coach.
Arthur’s comments come as his current contract expires after the World Cup, which will begin in England and Wales next month.
With Pakistan having announced their squad for the tournament on Thursday, it is safe to say that Arthur’s job could be scrutinised if the men in green endure a disappointing World Cup campaign.
While it remains to be seen how Pakistan will fare in the quadrennial event, Arthur insisted that he thoroughly enjoys his current role.
“I have always said that I would like to stay on as Pakistan head coach,” he was quoted as saying by PakPassion.
Pakistan will kick off their World Cup campaign against the West Indies in Nottingham on May 31.
