Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmed has made it abundantly clear that his side are open to playing India, whether it be at the World Cup or in a bilateral series.
Sarfraz’s comments come after there has been a lot of tension between the governments in India and Pakistan.
The two nations will go head to head at the World Cup on June 16 in Manchester, but Sarfraz noted that India have any qualms about playing Pakistan, that’s their “issue and it’s their headache”.
“We are always ready to play India, be it in a bilateral series or the World Cup,” Sarfraz was quoted as saying by The News International. “But it is them who think otherwise. I cannot talk any more on the issue as it can trigger a new debate.”
He was further quoted by Dawn as saying: “I don’t want to discuss about it. It’s India’s issue and it’s their headache. We are concerned with our performance at the World Cup and we will try to give our best at the World Cup.”
