Pakistan batsman Faisal Iqbal believes that his international career was cut short since he was wrongly targeted on the basis of nepotism.
With Faisal’s uncle being Javed Miandad, he claims that many felt he was only in the national team due to the fact that he was related to the legendary Pakistan batsman.
He added that this has continued up until this very day as the same thing is said when he lands coaching roles with different teams in various leagues.
“People always targeted me because they believed I got into the side because of my uncle Javed Miandad,” the 37-year-old, who last played for Pakistan in January 2010, told cricketpakistan.com.pk. “The same people now also accuse me of using my uncle to get coaching roles with various franchises in different leagues.”
